working in Partnership with one's specialist is key and essential to creating a appropriate care plan together. leaving it up the specialist to decide and not having the ability for choice creates a patriarchal structure that undermines one's choice in that care plan. being listened to, and heard is essential in the cry's for help when in pain that is ongoing and being told that no it is this rather than what I know and understand in my own body is essential, being at the mercy of the system is an ongoing learning curve. Take heed, be your own advocate, ask someone to assist you, keep educating.
